My progress so far
So far so good. I have my room clean enough that I can vacuum and instead of counting things to put away I just put things away. It's been nice not stepping on things in my room. The only problem is there is a box where I put all the stuff I don't know what to do with. Everyday I pick out 5 things and put them away or throw them away, but every day there is still more stuff in the box. I feel like it will never end. Maybe it won't.
Scrap-booking baby books has been the hardest thing. I used to like scrap-booking but trying to finish these books is not fun, I think it's the pressure to finish. I did get 3 pages done, I guess I'll just keep going.
My friend Mary has an organizing blog and her newest challenge is a pantry purge where I need to plan meals based on what's in my pantry.

New Year Goals
I've finally adjusted to having 4 children and decided I wanted to start writing on this again. If anyone is actually reading this I am probably just going to post my menu planning and weekly goals. Not too exciting.
I thought it would be good to post my New Year Goals, but looking back I noticed that I did the same thing 2 years ago and my goals really haven't changed.
2012 goals:
1. Don't buy things for my kids
2. Get rid of things
3. Work on baby books
4. Read more
5. Make Henry's Christmas stocking
I did finish Henry's stocking so I can cross that off.
2014 goals:
1. Give my kids more experiences. I picked this because today Tyler was sitting on the couch playing video games like he always does and I asked him if he wanted to go to the indoor rock climbing place. He said no, and I realized he needs to do more than stay at home and play video games. I know everyone else already knew this, it takes me a while to see things.
2. get/keep by bed room clean. Every year I try to keep my kitchen clean and it never happens so it's time I got frustrated with a different room in my house. My bedroom is also a dumping ground for everything I want to hide when people come over and nothing ever gets put back.
3. FINISH baby books. This is the year!
4. Read
5. Be able to do 50 push-ups. My arms have always been week and I think it would be awesome if I could do it.
How will I achieve these? I don't know, but here's what I'm going to try.
1. Have a monthly family outing. There are a lot of things we can do; indoor rock climbing, ice skating, roller skating, zoo, planetarium, fishing, mini golf, Disneyland,...
2. I'm going to put away 10 things and get rid of 10 things every day until my room is clean, and then keep doing that.
3. I have 33 pages that need to be done. I've tried doing a page a week before but that always dies out, so I'm thinking I should just do it till it's done. I don't know how to do that. How about I pick 6 pages every month, gather the things I need during the beginning of the month and then do a craft night to put them together. I'll see how the first month goes. I'm open to suggestions.
4. I'm already in the habit of reading I just need to keep it up, and always have a book I'm reading.
5. I'm going to do push-ups almost every night and hope they get easier and I am able to do more.

Worrying about myself
A few weeks ago I was complaining about the clutter in my house and blaming everyone else in my family. Michelle challenged me to fill a box with stuff to take to DI. I thought I could do that in 10 minutes, but as I started to clean I found 1 thing to put in the box and the rest was trash. Broken toys, scraps of paper, and other random things that just needed to be thrown away. The thing that got to me the most was that it was either my stuff or stuff that I should have gotten rid of a long time ago. So my goal for this week is to not complain about my family's stuff. I also want to:
-organize costumes
-sand blocks and cut paper for super saturday part 2
-blog about Halloween and Alex's birthday
-clean off the desk area
